I was born with these limitations.
I grew amidst these earthly plagues.
All it could do was deter me,
But never for once did i succumb.
If I was blind;
I must see visions.
If I was lame;
I must chase after life.
And if I was deaf;
Then i must listen to my heart speak.
Reality was never my dwelling.
I rose above its many strongholds
and built an empire in my mind,
Where I presided.
For I said to myself,
“If I could take charge of my mind, only then would I rule the world.”
My Disabilities now became My Abilities.
