Affiliated with success

We all want to be affiliated with success.    Hello guys, how are you doing? And how was the weekend? Well, I was at a friend’s birthday celebration and I met an awesome fashion designer this past weekend.

Back to today’s matter; We all want to be affiliated with success. Am I right or wrong? If I told you all that Mr. Aliko Dangote is my uncle; what would you feel? It strikes an impression, why? We all know Mr. Aliko Dangote to be successful, so there’s this joy of affiliation when we meet someone who is just linked with him. I did feel that way when I realized I was friends with the son of a Nigerian veteran actress. Lol ?? My Nigerians, you know how we can boast now. When everyone is drooling over the actress, you just walk in and be like, ‘oh it’s her, I’m friends with her son’. Or I could imagine the joy in this model’s heart someday I was hyping this photographer and she said, ‘well, I’ve worked with him on several occasions and he’s really cool’. Oh okay, I’ve heard you ??

One way or the other, we can’t deny that we want to be affiliated with success but the question is; do you want to remain an affiliate? Or do you want to be the real deal- a success? Boasting about those we know won’t take us anywhere close to where ‘getting on our feet to do something’ would take us.

Don’t remain an affiliate; do something as well!

  1. Loved this. No one is just satisfied with just being familiar with a successful person. At one point, our needs to be seen as important/relevant and to be recognized will kick in and we begin to hustle to be that successful person everyone wants to be associated with.
